Federal Cybersecurity R&D

About

This website is managed by the National Coordination Office (NCO) for the Federal Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program.

The purpose of this website is to provide information about evolving Federal cybersecurity game-change research and development agenda, to promote dialogue with the public to improve the agenda, and to bring together likeminded people who wish to contribute.

The NITRD Program is the primary forum by which the US Government coordinates its unclassified networking and information technology (IT) research and development (R&D). Fourteen Federal agencies, including all of the large science and technology agencies, are formal members of the NITRD Program, whose combined 2010 networking and IT R&D budgets totaled more than $4 billion. Many other Federal organizations also participate in NITRD activities.
